Requisitos de acesso
Candidates can apply for admission to the PhD in Bioproduct and Process Technology, if they: a) Hold a Master's degree or equivalent in the scientific domains of Chemical Engineering, Food Engineering, Biotechnological Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or any other related area; or b) Hold a degree in Chemical Engineering, Food Engineering, Biotechnological Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or any other related area, with at least 5 years of academic training in Higher Education; or c) In duly justified cases, they hold an academic, scientific or professional curriculum that is especially relevant for attending this cycle of studies and that, as such, can be recognized by the statutorily competent scientific body of the Higher Education institution where they wish to be admitted.

180 ECTS credits (30 per semester), with 1 credit corresponding to 27 hours. This includes the Thesis Project with 9 credits and the Thesis with 162 credits

- Applied knowledge of biomass processing and the diversity of products generated in the bioeconomy - Applied knowledge of extraction, biotechnological, thermochemical, and catalytic techniques for the processing/conversion of raw materials of biological origin - Technical capacity to generate bioproducts for application in the food, nutraceutical, cosmetic, phytochemical, and sustainable chemistry industries - Technical capacity to generate biomaterials and biofuels efficiently and sustainably - Technical capacity in developing engineering tools for new bioproduct generation processes - Knowledge and technical capacity to analyze practical feasibility and implement industrialization in the conversion of raw materials of biological origin into circular economy products, contributing to progress toward carbon neutrality
